2012 Shockers Travel teams.
John Mallee along with his professional staff will help train the team throughout the winter and early spring months. The team will practice once a week during the winter at a facility for 1 1/2 hrs per week. Each team will be limited to 12 players to insure everyone gets equal playing time.
What are the costs to participate? The cost for the 2012 season is $1295.00. This amount is much lower than the majority of travel teams in the area. This cost will allow the Shockers team to play a minimum of 25 league games along with 5-6 tournaments (each tournament is a 3-game minimum).
What do the players get for the players fees?
• All participation fees for league and tournament play
• Field rentals and umpire fees
• Winter training facility rental
• Training and Clinics given by professional coaches from the Florida Marlins minor league organization as well as the Gary Railcats
• Professional Customized uniforms including playing jerseys (2 to 3 shirt combinations)
• 1 pair of durable playing pants (with belt-loops)

What is the winter training program?
Players selected for the Northwest Indiana Shockers summer travel team will train a minimum of once a week throughout out the winter months. John Mallee will coach the team until he leaves for spring training in late January. Professional training clinics will include: Hitting - “The 6 Absolutes of a Professional Hitter”; Major league base-running concepts; 1st and 3rd Team Defense; Bunt Defense, In-fielding basics; Out-fielding basics; Catching and Pitching mechanics and drills. Teams will follow the same training drills and practice structure that Minor and Major league teams utilize in professional baseball.

'Little Majors Baseball' features the best '12u boys' baseball teams in America. From November 11th-13th, Premier teams representing al 30 MLB™ franchises will compete in the '2011 LMB World Series', being held at 'Big League Dreams Sports Park' near Dallas, TX!
Teams will compete in true big league style...wearing MLB uniforms and playing ball in replica versions of Fenway Park, Wrigley Field and Yankee Stadium!
Several of the top-ranked travel-select teams in America have accepted the honor of representing their local MLB team, but, in the end, only one will hoist the World Series trophy!
